Agent view
What an agent sees, and what they can do with it.
An agent manages a book of clients. They log in where everyone else does and get a view scoped to their own assignments.
What an agent gets
My Clients — their assigned clients, with the same contact detail an admin sees for those people. Not the whole contact list; only theirs.
My Commissions Commissions add on — their commission statements and payout history.
On top of that they keep the client baseline — their own accounts, trades, and performance — plus forecasting and the trade executor.
Adding a client
Agents can create clients from My Clients. The form is the same one on the Contacts page, minus the client toggle, because on this page the client role is implied. The agent is assigned as that client's agent automatically.
Adding an account for a client
Agents can create trading accounts, with one extra requirement: the Contact field is mandatory. An admin may leave it blank; an agent may not, and may only choose from their own clients.
This is the boundary that makes the agent role safe to hand out. An agent cannot create an account attached to nobody, and cannot attach one to another agent's client. Attempting it is refused by the API, not merely hidden.
Agent or partner
Both roles come with Commissions add on, and the difference is write access.
An agent manages: read and write on their own clients. A partner introduces: the same commission visibility, read access to clients, and no write or create at all.
Choose partner for an introducer who should see what their referrals are worth without being able to change anything. See Roles and permissions.
For the workspace admin
Assigning an agent happens on the client's contact record, or in bulk from the Contacts list with Change Agent. A client with no agent generates no commission for anybody, so an unassigned client is usually an oversight.
Removing an agent role prompts you to reassign that agent's clients first, so nobody is left unmanaged by accident.
Commission rates come from Default Agent Commission (%) and Commission Cap (%) under Settings → Billing. See Commissions.
